Last week I had the opportunity to spend a festive evening at the Kiehl’s store in Cambridge. Joining a group of my favourite local bloggers to hear about the Kiehl’s Christmas collaborations with super talented Kate Moross and Disney, I really didn’t need asking twice.
We started with drinks and canapes while we got to check out the beautiful Christmas designs by Kate Moross, covered in candy canes, holiday shapes and colours they are so festive and would make wonderful gifts. As a massive fan of Disney it was fun to see Mickey on some of their best selling products including the Crème De Corps. The evening was really informative and we also got to play some fun games to try and win gift bags.
If I’m honest I have had very little experience with Kiehl’s products apart from trying their amazing Midnight Recovery Concentrate and having a lip balm a few years ago so it was really interesting to learn about the history of the company and discover more of their products. We also made friends with their jolly mascot Mr Bones who can be found in every store!
I really loved their approach to the products and that there is a focus on natural ingredients. There also seems to be a real focus on finding the right products for each individual and I really think it is worth popping in store to chat with the staff, who are really passionate about what they do, to make sure you’re getting the products for you. We left armed with samples to try and I was amazed at the difference my skin felt after using their Lavender Body Scrub and the Crème De Corps for only a short time. The Crème De Corps came in two versions and while I loved the smell of the Soy Milk and Honey Whipped body cream I felt like the original Crème De Corps suited my skin better.
This morning I washed my hair with their Smoothing Oil-Infused shampoo and conditioner and absolutely loved the fragrance as well as the fact that they are silicone and paraben free. Since becoming a Mummy I have taken much more of an interest in what goes into our skincare and I am really finding it makes a difference to the quality and effect of the products we are using. Needless to say I have added some Kiehl’s products to my Christmas wish list and will be popping back in store to get a better idea of which other products would be best for me to use.
Kiehl’s kindly let us bring friends to the event so I rounded off the evening with a lovely meal at Bill’s catching up with friends before heading home. Have you discovered any great skincare this year? Or made any last minute additions to your Christmas list? I’d love to hear as I am currently battling those never ending lists of festive to do jobs!
